Join us for the 2026 Auburn Day and 33rd Annual Duck Race!! It will be on Saturday, September 12th from 10am-3pm on Hooksett Road between Raymond Road and Eaton Hill Road.
This is a wonderful family event enjoyed by thousands of locals each year. Enjoy great food options, entertainment, shopping with local artisans and authors and, of course, the Duck Race! It is free to attend the event and there is plenty of free parking in the surrounding area.
To celebrate the 250th anniversary of the signing of The Declaration of Independence, the Auburn Historical Association will be organizing a parade at 10:00am! The parade will begin on the bottom of Bunker Hill, near the Circle of Fun Playground, and proceed along Chester Road and then through the Auburn Day and Duck Race event. People are welcome to gather along Chester Road to watch the parade.
You can purchase your Duck Race tickets at the Auburn Historical Booth across from the Griffin Free Public Library or at the corner of Hooksett Road and Eaton Hill Road. Tickets are $5 each or $20 for a “Quack Pack” of five tickets. Duck Race tickets are $5 each or 5 tickets for $20 (quack pack). Prizes are - 1st prize: $1000, 2nd prize: $500, 3rd prize: 250, 4th prize: $100, 5th prize: $50 and 6th through 10th prizes: $25 each.
The ducks should be launched no later than 2:30 (earlier if all the ducks are sold) and you do not need to be present to win.
The field behind the Griffin Free Public Library will host several additional attractions at this year's Duck Race. Walk down Author's Alley and see what is happening behind the library. Demonstrators will be exhibiting spinning wool, blacksmithing, making maple syrup, pressing apple cider and pottery making will be available for you to learn from and be amazed. Hope to see you there!
